A time to be thankful and share our blessings. We’re home for Thanksgiving this year, and I’m already looking forward to roasting the turkey and making lots of stuffing. The vegetable debate is still ongoing. In my family, we’ve always baked acorn squash filled with applesauce and cranberries with a touch of cinnamon (yum!). John, of course, is perfectly happy with a pickle-and-olive platter, and Mom is leaning toward her favorite spinach soufflé. What will you be serving this year?
I’m also starting a new little sewing project—two 20x20 feather pillows I scooped up from Ashley’s clearance section. I’m planning to recover the purple fabric with a wonderfully soft faux fur. They should be perfect for the cozy winter evenings ahead when we have the fireplace going. My neighbor, Sue, and I are going to sign up for quilting lessons at Beyond Fabric starting in January. I have never quilted before, so I am looking forward to undertaking this new challange. Mom, Sue and I are also signing up for Tai Chi at the Senior Center in St Marys starting in December. I used to practice Tai Chi years ago and am looking forward to getting back into it.
