Greetings!
Do you have any big plans for summer this year? I'm getting bogged down in the day-to-day and continue to ignore painting the garage. To be fair, we have had a number of unexpected repairs to address. Our two beautiful pear trees at the front corner of our lots are dropping limbs and have to be removed. Thank goodness no one has been hurt yet. Hopefully the trees will be down this week. I'm considering replacing them with crepe myrtle. Haven't settled on which color yet. My neighbor has red. Two white ones would look interesting, but I like the pink also. Which do you like best?
We also had a fun (Ha!) incident while doing laundry last week. I was on my second load when John can inside and said there was soapy water in the driveway. There is a pipe sticking out of the exterior wall behind the A/C units on the side of the house. It had duct tape over the opening. We did not have a great inspector when we purchased the house and were still in PA during the inspection. The duct tape finally rotted out and apparently this clean out pipe, which should have been capped allowed critters to enter and nest in the pipe. Cumberland Plumbing rose to the occasion and snaked the pipe clean back to the MBA. During that interesting day, they found a leaking faucet in the hall bath which they are replacing today. This is not quite how I envisioned spending my summer, but it is necessary.
