Greetings :)
Isn’t this weather fabulous? I hope it lasts a while—it’s so much easier to tackle projects when the humidity is low and the temperatures are moderate. I finally finished my outdoor furniture cushion project and am already eyeing my two lounge chairs as the next challenge. There always seems to be a new project waiting, and I love it.

John and I also enjoyed a wonderful visit to Disney for his birthday. The parks were surprisingly quiet—the crowds were light, and many of the restaurants were only half full. It felt both refreshing and a little unusual. My guess is that Universal Studios is drawing in more of the visitors. We had the chance to meet some lovely people from Scotland, England, Australia, and Germany, and even noticed quite a few dogs at our hotel. Despite the cloudy skies, we managed to fit in a round of mini golf at Fantasia Gardens, which is always a treat.
Now it’s back to work, but with fresh energy from a nice break. John and I will be at the St Marys Seafood Festival in October selling raffle tickets for the Military Officer's Association of America. This is our fundraiser to help us support students in Camden county who are in NJROTC by paying for Leadership classes and supporting the HS riffle team among other items. Hope you will stop by and say "HI".

Our next adult Murder Mystery will be Friday, September 12th from 5:00-7:00PM!
Gentle lords and ladies, the jousting at Ye Olde Renaissance Faire isn't meant to be "to the death"-so why doth the Green Knight have a broken jousting lance buried in his chest? Forsooth, who hath sneaked into his tent, before he got into his trusty armor, and killed him dead? Was it one of his rival knights, in quest of a competitive advantage? Was it one of the Faire's costumed workers, seeking revenge? Was it one of the thousand fairgoers, in search of a backstage thrill? Or mayhap the foul deed was done by-THEE!
This program is for 18+ ages and does require registration. Starting on August 29th, you can call to reserve a character spot. You will then be sent an email with your character information.
Costumes are encouraged!
Please call the library with any questions (912)729-3741.
