Camden County is voting right now for the members of the Utility Regulatory Commission — the people who determine the rates we will be billed on our utilities. At the moment, Camden County has no one representing our local interests on this commission. Every vote truly matters in this off-year election. Please help spread the word and make your voice heard at the polls!

On a more personal note, we are getting ready for a very special week. My daughter is visiting from Pennsylvania tomorrow, and we’ll have five wonderful days together. We’ll be celebrating Mom’s 90th birthday and my own (humble!) Halloween birthday — and fun fact, my next-door neighbor shares the same birthday, so celebrations will be in full swing! Shopping may well be involved…
Mary and I will also join our Kings Bay MOAA group for a tour of the Trident Submarine. I’m still amazed the tour wasn’t canceled during the shutdown — it is a fascinating and awe-inspiring experience. I toured once with John years ago during the 5000th Patrol celebration, and I’m excited to see it again with Mary.
Lastly, I’m asking for prayers for John’s mother, Betty. She is in a dementia care facility near his younger brother in Pennsylvania and appears to be declining. We pray for her comfort and peace, and your prayers would mean so much to our family.

Deep Dive Games and McGarvey's Wee Pub are working together to bring you an awesome Halloween Bash on Thursday October 30th. We will be kicking off the event with a Trunk-Or-Treat in our parking lot. From there, we will have a DJ, costume contests, karaoke (Inside Wee Pub) and other events with prizes! We will have a dunk tank set up to raise money for Camden House. There will be food available on site at Wee Pub as well as the Wandaful Things food truck! Also, don't make any enemies during the party, because we will have a temporary jail cell on site! You can pay our COP to have your "Enemies" arrested for 10 minutes. If they want out early, they can pay to be released. All money raised by the jail cell will go towards the Saint Mary's PD K9 Unit. Package includes 10 edited digital images (you pick from you custom online gallery). You can upgrade to your full gallery for an additional fee.
Want to include Santa in your photos? We have the big man himself standing by for an additional $25.

Theme 1: Baking Christmas Cookies
Good for any age (ideally up to 4 people at a time). We will be "baking" and decorating real cookies so these will have great action shots and genuine smiles! There will be a table in front of the backdrop for them to do their decorating on.
Theme 2: Simply Christmas
Neutral and simple, this set up is great for both adults/couples and kids, and can include up to 8 people at a time. Perfect if you are looking for something a little more modern/minimalistic but still cozy and fun. (Photos for this are AI generated and purely inspirational. Once I get the studio up and running in a couple weeks and can get to my Christmas decor, I will stage some actual example photos and post them).
