I hope you are enjoying the holiday season. Yesterday and today have been dedicated to holiday baking. That sounds absolutely delightful—and very festive. Holiday baking days are some of the best days of the season. 🍪

Peanut butter cookies with Rolos sprinkled in sugar sound dangerously good, and peppermint pinwheels are such a classic Christmas cookie—the colors alone make them feel special. I love how you’ve done pink and white for peppermint and green and white for the butter cookies; that’s a beautiful tray already in my imagination.

   As for favorites, I have a soft spot for gingerbread and snickerdoodles this time of year—warm spices just feel like Christmas. But yes, I firmly believe chocolate chip absolutely qualifies as a Christmas cookie. Maybe it’s an “all-season” cookie, but it’s also the one everyone reaches for first on the holiday platter, which feels pretty official to me.

Driving downtown St. Marys to see the decorated trees is such a perfect way to wrap up a baking-filled couple of days. That park display really is a holiday gem—simple, charming, and full of community spirit. I hope the evening is crisp, the lights are glowing, and the season feels just right. 🎄✨
