Blueberry season has officially come to a close, and now it's just about time for green beans—and the corn has come in beautifully. I always enjoy taking a trip out to Vacuna Farms in Kingsland to pick fresh produce. There’s nothing quite like it.
I’ve tried to maintain a small garden at home, but between the deer, rabbits, and other critters, it’s been quite the challenge. I’ve always kept a little herb garden, and now most of it lives in pots on my front porch—safely out of reach. The parsley is thriving up there! The sage is still holding its own in the backyard; thankfully, the deer don’t seem too fond of it. The mint, however, never stood a chance
Lately, quite a few neighbors have noticed their tomatoes mysteriously disappearing. With all the nearby development, I think the wildlife is being pushed closer in—and they’re hungry. For now, I’m turning my attention back to the banana peppers.
On a different note, I finally received the button forms I needed to complete a little project for my neighbor. It was a small piece I crafted from leftover fabric from their chair cushions. I even had a bit of that silver metallic fabric left over from my rattan project, which I used to cover the button. What do you think—did it work?

Our neighbor has also just started having a pool installed. I’ve never seen the process of building a pool, deck, and enclosure from start to finish—outside of online videos—so I’m curious to watch it unfold. It should be quite the transformation!

We are excited to announce our next Adult Only Murder Mystery on July 18th from 5:00-7:00PM!
The 187 annual High Society Debutante Ball is destined to be a night for Charleston to remember. That is until high society sweetheart Clara Lodesacash keels over mid-curtsey, infront of all her friends and frenemies. Who could have ended such a promising young woman's life so brutally (and publicly?) Was it her oddball older sister, Patricia "Petty" Lodesacash, driven wild by jealousy? Or was it her rival belle of the ball, Quinn Quick? Was it notable southern playboy Shep Sheppard, or one the Whitehead twins? Dust off your tuxedo jacket, our yourself a mint julep, and get ready to come out to society!
Costumes and being over the top is always encouraged!
Our Friends Group will be slinging up themed mocktails for donation!
This program is for adults only and registration is required to participate.
Registration begins on Monday, July 7th! You can then select your character or one can be assigned to you. (912)729-3741.
