I hope the cooler weather is helping you settle into the spirit of the Season. Mom recently bought a space heater—though I couldn’t quite convince her to go for an electric fireplace instead. 😊
My neighbor Sue, Mom, and I have all started taking Tai Chi at the Senior Center in St. Marys. It’s a bit slow-going at first, with lots of information to absorb, but we’re committed to sticking with it. I’m continually amazed at how many activities are offered there, and how well attended the center is. It truly is a wonderful community resource.
We also enjoyed a lovely evening this past week at the Holiday concert in Mayport, featuring the Southeast Region Navy Jazz Big Band. It was a fantastic performance by some incredibly talented musicians.
On the home front, I’ve wrapped up a couple of smaller projects. I refinished two accent pillows in a linen fabric woven with silver and gold threads, and recovered the larger pillows in an ultra-soft faux fur. They’ve added a cozy touch for the winter months.

Bring your kids (ages 5-12) for a night of fun where we will give them an insight into our world as we bring them into the shop and train them to be a future technician!
We will start the night off by putting the kids in groups and they will go through each training station in the shop. They will get to use tools and work on engines, replace filters, learn about lab scopes, and crush things with a press (the kids love this!).
We will have pizza, popcorn, hot cocoa, and other treats available as we rotate stations.
This event is completely FREE and each child that is signed up will receive a Jr Technician T-Shirt and a certificate showing their completion of training. Spots are limited so please sign up fast by completing the Google form linked on this page.

We are thrilled to announce our Annual Christmas Party — a joyful celebration filled with music, delicious food, and plenty of holiday cheer!
This year’s festivities will feature live holiday music by Kenn Trip, a catered holiday meal, and lots of laughter and community spirit.
Registration opens on Friday, November 21st
